“Ramadhan Iftar Infaq” is an event of
having an evening of charity Iftar. This event is organised to first and
foremost welcome the month of Ramadhan of the year 1433H. The name
“Ramadhan Iftar Infaq” is chosen for this event for various purposes.
Besides celebrating one of the most blessed months of the Islamic
calendar, this event is also carried out to invite Muslims around us to
ponder upon the Ibadah that we oblige to fulfill. One of them is to
Infaq towards Allah SWT. Infaq is an
Arabic word, which means “charity simply to please God without asking
for any favour or hoping for any return”. This also refers to spending
in Allah’s way especially to assist the poor and needy. In accordance to
that, it leads to the main emphasis of the event, which is to hold a
fund raising and that the proceeds will go to charity. There are a lot
of people out there who need help in terms of financial but somehow are
neglected. Therefore, “Ramadhan Iftar Infaq” is one of the approaches
that can help ease the financial burden they tend to face and to share
the love among human being. Furthermore, we would also like to
strengthen the Silaturrahim between friends and families by this event
and simultaneously remind ourselves to be grateful with what we have and
where we come from.
